We want to make serving simple. Do you feel called by the Lord to be a part of our body here at Breakthrough? (Not sure what it means to be called to a body, click here) We're looking for people committed to Breakthrough Church, its mission and vision for the city of Lynchburg, and who have a heart to serve. A church isn't a building, but a corporate gathering of believers:

"from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love." (Ephesians 4:16 ESV)
There's many ways to serve at Breakthrough- Breakthrough KIDS, Tech team, Creative team, Worship team, & Hospitality. Check out what each team is about and how you can get plugged in. Breakthrough KIDS
Do you want to serve and help build the next generation? Our heart is to give parents space to rest, receive, and grow with the Lord during Sunday service with the confidence that their kids are being taken care of. We also want to equip kids to have a thriving and active relationship with Jesus. We believe that kids don’t have a “Jr. Holy Spirit”, but have the same access to Jesus as we do.
Production Team
Setting up and making sure the sound system is working, running the slides, and ensuring live stream is running, this is one VITAL role to Breakthrough Church. It's the small things that are most important. Have some experience, or have none? Experience isn't necessary, but a heart to learn and willingness to serve in this capacity.
Creative Team
Our Father is the greatest artist we know. We believe creativity can be an expression of worship. Like can be through: photography, graphic design, social media, videography, and writing. Our community has a strong call to be creative, and we don't take it lightly. Has the Lord gifted you with the ability to create and are skillful at what you do? Then we would love to see your creativity come to life within our body.
Worship Team
Worship is simply us pouring out our undaunted praise to the Only One worthy of it all. We let the Spirit lead us in releasing a beautiful sound to the Lord. Each body has its own unique sound and we believe that Breakthrough has a unique sound that we give to the Lord. Has the Lord gifted you with a voice for singing or the ability to play an instrument? If so, we would love to see you be a part of that!
Hospitality Team
We want our church to be a place that feels like home, we need help with the overall set up and tear down of our space, this is a team that Breakthrough couldn't do without. Hospitality Team also focused on greeting and parking. Absolutely no skills are necessary to serve in this capacity, just a willing heart. Outreach Team
Every single believer is called to fulfill the great commission. At Breakthrough our desire is to be a missional church to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our neighborhood and city. Our Outreach team serves regularly at a local food distribution pantry as well as evangelizes around our city. If this is an area you want to serve and be equipped in, we would love to have you!
